This role is to work within an established public sector organisation based at Newburn Business park. This is an involved Administrative Assistant role working on the Cooperate Administration Team. If successful, duties include:
-Provide comprehensive, efficient administrative service to the organisation.
-Maintain realistic and manageable diaries.
-Manage senior managers diaries in a proactive and efficient manner based on all information from emails, meeting requests and travel itineraries.
-Manage incoming communications (email, post, telephone and highlight and prioritise key points for follow up.
-Act as first point of contact for member of the public and staff.
Develop and maintain office systems to ensure efficient collation, storage and retrieval of information.
-Order supplies using electronic ordering system and maintain accurate records.
-Assist in the production of reports, presentations, spreadsheets, questionnaires etc.
-Arrange and attend meetings/events (internal and external) to accurately record and minute proceedings/decisions.
-Have the ability to receive process and or provide sensitive / confidential information which requires a high level of tact.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
