Job Description

One of our high profile Public Sector clients are looking for Administrative Officer's to join their team based in the Solihull area on a temporary basis until the end of April 2022 with the view to potentially extend. The roles will be office based.

The role of administrative support staff is to underpin the decision-making role to ensure that cases are able to progress through the process. From the point of routing this will include interview logistics, checking fingerprints and photographs, conducting re-documentation interviews, decision service, Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) enrolment and service, identifying and actioning absconders and referring cases to other teams whilst also playing a role in logging correspondence, file management and tracking and covering a duty phone line.

The administrative officer works as part of an administrative team and will be expected to complete the full range of administrative tasks, on a rotational basis. Full training will be provided.

The specific tasks, responsibilities and accountabilities of the post holder will include:
- Provide administrative support to the regional team
- Undertake a range of administrative tasks such as file movement and tracking, logging correspondence, issuing decision letters
- Preparing claimants files for interview/decision by establishing where barriers exist and working to clear these.
- Maintaining records
- Scanning files and correspondence in order to keep systems up to date
- Serving documentation to claimants and representatives for both negative and positive outcomes
- Meet and greet customers

This role will require CTC level clearance which can take between 6 - 8 weeks as well as three years of referencing material. Please keep this in mind before applying.

Please note, you need to hold a 10 year British passport and have been resident in the UK for at least five years due to clearance for this role.

The role will offer a pay rate of £11.10 per hour. Working patterns will be 08:30 - 16:30 and 10:00 - 18:00 on a rota pattern.
