Job Description

Position: Administrative Officer

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £ 12.84 per hour

Contract: Temporary, 12 months

Working Days: Full Time, Monday to Saturday, working only 5 days on a rota. AHW: required to work 17 Saturdays per year

Hours: 37 hours per week, 7:45 am to 7:30 pm according to shift patterns, Saturdays on rotation 8:45 am to 4:30 pm

Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their Glasgow office as an Administrative Officer, supporting a front facing operation for the Service and Support Centre work-streams and application administration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete admin tasks essential to the customer application
  • Customer facing
  • Interviews with customers
  • Checking customer bio-metrics
  • Dealing with sensitive information and safeguarding
  • Updating IT systems and applications in the work-stream
  • Managing flagged applications

Training provided:

  • No holidays during the 4-week training period - all pre-booked leave needs to be declared upfront to be authorised by the client.
  • One-off training in Croydon or Coventry (as per client stipulation) Leaving on the Sunday, staying at the hotel, then going to the training establishment on Monday, then going home on Tuesday. All travel expenses will be paid for; hotel, travel costs (train there & back). The training itself will be based on conflict resolution, and how to approach difficult and potentially hostile situations as effectively and professionally as possible.

** You will be required to undertake security clearance for these roles, and it is imperative that you hold a valid passport and be able to provide two proofs of current address and a proof of national insurance document. **

Start dates will be confirmed once we have had clearance back.
