Administrative Officer - Probation Service
Location: Manchester
Salary: Competitive + Core Hours (including evenings and weekends)

Our client, a reputable organisation within the Probation Service, is hiring for a dedicated Administrative Officer to join their team in Manchester. This role offers a vital opportunity to contribute to community safety and support individuals on probation through efficient administrative and reception duties.

What you'll be doing:
* Serving as the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and email enquiries, providing a professional and welcoming experience.
* Managing building logistics, including mail, supplies, meeting room bookings, and supporting event setup.
* Handling petty cash, travel warrants, and supporting transport arrangements for individuals on probation.
* Assisting with health and safety procedures, including fire alarm testing, CCTV monitoring, and acting as Fire Warden/First Aider when needed.
* Logging building faults, supporting maintenance requests, and ensuring security protocols are followed.
* Providing confidential administrative support to operational teams, including data entry, document production, and file management.
* Supporting safeguarding and risk management by recognising and responding to potential issues with tact and diplomacy.

What you'll bring:
* Proven proficiency in ICT, especially Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
* Commitment to diversity, equality, and confidentiality.

Essential skills and qualifications:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
* Experience working in high-pressure environments or customer relations is desirable.
* Security and identity checks will be required prior to appointment.
