Are you looking for a role with real purpose-where your day-to-day work helps deliver justice and supports people at important moments? Our Client is hiring an Administrative Officer to help keep the court running smoothly, balancing essential usher duties with reliable, service-focused administration.

What you'll be doing:
* Act as a first point of contact for court users involved in hearings, including meeting members of the public and legal representatives
* Prepare court/hearing rooms and clear down at the end of the day to ensure everything runs efficiently
* Collect and deliver files and bundles to the judiciary and clerks, ensuring the right papers are in place
* Support the smooth flow of court work through accurate administration and timely coordination
* Maintain and update records, databases, lists, manuals and documentation (including standard letters, forms, orders and registers) using electronic and paper systems
* Operate recording equipment and maintain records of hearing recordings where required
* Handle correspondence tasks such as copy/audio typing, completing standard letters/forms, and straightforward drafting (e.g., acknowledgements, receipting and confirmations)
* Manage post handling-opening, sorting, distributing and dispatching-along with stationery and stock monitoring
* Answer telephone calls and deal with standard enquiries, passing messages appropriately
* Call people into court/hearing rooms in priority order and liaise with relevant colleagues as needed
* Support with booking rooms and using electronic diaries, including travel arrangements where required
* Remain calm and professional in regulated processes, including situations that may be unexpected, while following well-established guidelines

What you'll bring:
* Experience of working in a busy office environment
* Confidence using a computer at the level required for the role
* A service mindset and the ability to communicate professionally and sensitively with people from all walks of life-some of whom may be vulnerable and under stress
* The ability to react quickly, follow procedures firmly, and keep court administration accurate and up to date
* Comfort working flexibly as needed within the role, with ad hoc support across other locations as required
