Job Description

Brook Street are currently recruiting for an Administrator to work for a government client based in Exeter.

The option for home-working is available, but you must live in Exeter.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of dedicated HR administrators providing a high quality, customer focused service. The work is varied and fast-moving and you can look forward to joining a high performing team delivering a service you can be proud of.

As a member of the HR Service Centre team you will process transactions across the full range of employee life cycle events including, but not restricted to, new entrants, promotions, changes of hours and leavers (retirements/resignations).



You will be the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing a first-rate service responding to enquiries by email and telephone, signposting customers to the appropriate information, tools and resources available on the Intranet.

The role is varied and busy, therefore it's important that you are comfortable responding proactively to changing priorities and are proficient at organising your workload to meet changing demands.



Previous HR experience would be good but it is by no means essential as full training will be provided. You will join a friendly and welcoming team and we will ensure you receive the support you need to reach your potential and thrive.

You?ll need to be able to demonstrate that you:



Take pride in delivering a quality service and maintaining high standards of accuracy in your work whilst delivering to challenging timescales



Enjoy and respond positively to changing priorities and can react quickly and re-prioritise your work so



Possess excellent administrative and IT skills and are able to quickly learn how to use new applications



Communicate effectively by telephone and in writing



Enjoy working as part of a team and use teamwork to resolve business problems



Embrace diversity, demonstrating this in how you work with our Customers and Stakeholders



Take responsibility for developing your skills by proactively seeking opportunities to learn and develop.



This is a full time position working Monday-Friday 0900-1700.

Rate of pay is £10.90 per hour.

This is a temporary assignment for 12 months with a possibility of an extension.
