Job Description

Our Public Sector client based in Bury St Edmunds is seeking an Admin Officer to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis to assist their Maintenance Enforcement Business Centre where you will carry out administrative duties to support the service delivery and day to day of the client.

The role is Monday to Friday during office hours. The rate of pay is £9.78 an hour.

The client is based within Bury St Edmunds City Centre next to the bus station which means the office is easily accessible.

Successful candidates should ideally have customer service experience, specifically in receiving correspondence when dealing with members of the public and other agencies, which can vary from signposting and general updates to queries that are more difficult and sensitive in nature. You will be assisting with various queries relating to individual cases and applications.

You must be able to communicate in a professional manner and able to explain complex information in an approachable way. In your day- to- day you will be required to carry out administrative duties so will be required to be competent in IT and able to communicate through different streams such as emails and telephone. There will be on site training surrounding internal IT systems.

Your responsibilities in include but will not be restricted to:

- General administration
- Opening / sorting post
- Answering and resolving email queries
- Data Input / Petitions
- Transporting case files across different floors

The ideal candidate will have previous administration experience, the ability to work well under pressure and have a good attention to detail. You are required to have Basic knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

If successful, you will be required to hold an in-date Passport or Birth certificate, 2 proofs of address and proof of National Insurance as the role will require a clear DBS to progress forward.

The role is working on site and the client is adhering to government guidelines regarding the COVID rules within the workplace.

The rate of pay is £9.78 an hour however, national minimum wage applies for under 23s. Holiday entitlement and pension scheme are available.
