Our national, public sector client currently need people to provide to carry out a range of data processing and administrative tasks to support the operational functions of the Government Agency.

Job description/details
This is a multifunctional role and as an Administrative Officer you will play a crucial role working within the Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) area of work, providing support at administrative level. You will be dealing with the inputting and matching of Domestic SDLT by processing data and interrogate electronic and manual databases.
Your job will involve a range of duties and we are looking for people who are flexible and adaptable.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: -

o Providing excellent stakeholder service via email and written correspondence along with verbal communication.

o Interrogating systems and online information to enable the linking of SDLT records to properties on our internal systems.

o Identifying anomalies and issues with current addresses and utilising a range of electronic methods for identifying properties.

o General Admin including using our tools and databases to gather and analyse data.

The successful candidates will have the ability to interpret guidance, policy and procedures to enable them to offer the best solutions and, if necessary, direct any queries to the correct department. All issues and queries should be resolved where possible following department guidelines in a professional, tactful manner.

You will be expected to work within a COVID safe office scheduling our people between the hours of 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday. Whilst we are flexible to take personal circumstances into account wherever possible when setting the rotas, we are limited in allowing people to `fix` set hours outside of these times. However, please do contact us if you would like to discuss any individual circumstances which may restrict your availability between these hours (e.g., caring responsibilities, or childcare).


Candidate Essentials:

o Customer focused and have strong customer service skills.
o Flexible and dedicated.
o Good at communicating with different people and listening.
o Computer literate and possess good keyboard skills.
o Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
o Willing to learn.


The roles (we have several) will start on Monday 24th January and are full time (37 hours per week). Based in their Plymouth Service Centre. You will be required to undergo a basic criminal record check and pass our other vetting requirements
