Job Description


Brook Street are looking for two Administrators - Regulatory Support Officers - to join one of our busy clients in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

The role is temporary, for approximately 3 months, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, 37hrs per week at £10.14/hr.
Environment Agency Permitting Teams' primary role is to protect the environment and support economic growth through determining applications for environmental permits and licences and providing advice and guidance to our internal and external customers.

You'll ideally have some experience in a customer-focused role and used to managing multiple pieces of work to different deadlines. You will be interested in the environment and keen to protect it by contributing to the regulation of potentially damaging activities. This may mean dealing with complex and difficult situations. You will be comfortable working to challenging performance targets.

Whilst relevant work experience would be an advantage, it's much less important to us than your ability to demonstrate the key skills we're looking for:

" organise and prioritise a large workload
" time management
" attention to detail
" Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a range of audiences and able to adapt communication style to suit audience
" make sound and timely decisions and identify solutions to problems
" be able to follow established processes and identify when a situation falls outside of it
" comfortable working from home, integrated virtually into a team
" be passionate about the environment
" Competent IT and data skills; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
" Experience with mapping software such as GIS would be beneficial.
" Ability to adapt to using new IT systems
" Ability to digest, analyse and interpret information in a variety of formats including numerical, written and diagrammatical
" Be able to spot anomalies in sometimes large volumes of data

Typical qualifications and experience:
- Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent)
- Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
Full training is given.
The pay rate is £10.14 per hour, benefits include holiday pay and pension scheme
You will be subject to full 3 year referencing and a Basic DBS check. Current photographic ID will be required along with NI and proofs of address.
