Exciting Administrative Support Opportunity at Basingstoke Law Court!

Brook Street is thrilled to offer a fantastic full-time role within Basingstoke Law Court. Join a dynamic and fast-paced office environment, working closely with the Case Progression Officer. This is a unique chance to be a part of the Ministry of Justice and gain invaluable experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

As an essential part of the admin team, you'll handle a variety of tasks that are crucial to the smooth operation of the court. You will:

  • Correspondence: Deal with correspondence, preparing and drafting letters and emails with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Document Processing: Handle the processing of applications and court documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to administrative procedures.
  • Answering the Phone: Manage incoming calls, providing assistance and directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Data Entry: Accurately input data into spreadsheets and court systems, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Court Fees Accuracy: Ensure the accurate entry of court fees, verifying all financial data for correctness.
  • Remote Payments: Assist with taking remote payments, handling transactions securely and efficiently.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Regularly interact with court users, judiciary members, legal professionals, and the public, ensuring effective communication and smooth processes.
  • Data Management: Collate and analyse complex information, frequently using Excel to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Liaison Duties: Act as a bridge between the courtroom, judiciary, and the public, ensuring seamless coordination and support.
  • Routine Preparation: Assist with the preparation of routine documents and maintain orderly administrative processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Good with Maths and Numbers: Strong numerical skills, comfortable handling financial data.
  • Data Accuracy: Ability to accurately input financial data into spreadsheets, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service abilities, with a focus on providing courteous and efficient support.
  • Initiative and Teamwork: Able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation and collaboration.
  • IT Skills: Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic IT applications, particularly Office 365.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role is desirable but not essential.
