Job Description

rook Street has a great opportunity for a full-time role within Slough County Court, to join a fast-paced office, working as part of the admin team. Our client at the Ministry of Justice is looking for a candidate to be an admin support to the Case Progression Officer.


- Full-time, 37 hrs per week, 09:00-17:00
- Temporary contract until 31/03/25- with the possibility of extension
- Pay - £10.57 p/h after 12 working weeks £11.88 p/h
- Location - Slough County Court, SL1 2HE
- Start date: vetting pending

The successful candidate will carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court and provide support to other functions within HMCTS. Role holder will have regular contact with court users, including members of the Judiciary and the legal profession, dealing with the public by telephone, and supporting the Judges in court. Using their specific database, IT systems alongside office 365 applications.

Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

- Collating and analysing complex information or data, recording data, regular usage of Excel.
- Processing of applications, processing orders, IT data input
- Overseeing administrative procedures and processes
- Liaison between Courtroom, judiciary, public
- Processing correspondence, drafting letters and emails
- Acting as an administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources
- Preparing routine correspondence


  • Good communication skills both oral and written
  • Basic IT, able to work with software
  • Previous admin experience is preferable

*The offered candidate is subject to a vetting - standard DBS clearance and an activity check for the last 3 years.
