Brook Street is currently working on behalf of our client to recruit an Administrator in the Educational Sector. This is a temporary role based in Reading and will run for 6 weeks initially with a possibility to extend.

Salary & Hours: £11.00/hour, Monday to Friday 9.15-17.15, 35 hours a week. No evenings or weekends.

Job Description
Our client is a charitable organisation working within the Higher Education Sector. Within the organisation there are three specialist divisions and this Administration vacancy falls under the consultancy department which provides expert consultancy in all areas of the school's support and management.

Based in our bright and modern office on campus, the Administrator will be responsible for providing excellent administrative and clerical support to the team onsite enabling them to provide the highest level of service to its members across its three departments. The Administrator will be reporting to the Operations Manager, undertaking a varied and diverse range of duties. Please see a sample of duties listed below;

Key Responsibilities
" To provide secretarial, administrative and telephone support for the company
" To arrange meetings as required
" To take and produce minutes of meetings
" To provide administrative support for a range purchasing agreements using MS Office
" To maintain and update databases and systems
" To maintain and update the company website
" To develop and maintain good relations with members, suppliers and other sector bodies, with responsibility for maintaining contact and promoting certain programs/tools with Higher Education Institutions
" To deal with enquiries from member institutions, suppliers, members of other consortia and other trade bodies
" To assist in the production of reports and information using Excel and Word
" To carry out any other duties as might reasonably be required to fulfil the needs of the post

Candidate Requirements
" Excellent verbal and written communication skills
" Customer service skills
" Ability to work as part of a small team
" Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
" Experience in an administrative role
" Ability to quickly relate with people
" Experience of taking minutes of meetings
" Fully competent with Microsoft Office software
" Maths and English GCSE (minimum grade C or equivalent)
