Job Description

Our Public Sector client based at in Honington, Bury St Edmunds is seeking an experienced Administrator / Receptionist to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis. The rate of pay is £8.36 for the first 12 weeks, rising to £10.35 thereafter.

The Post Holder will have a major impact on promoting a positive image of the Medical Centre to patients and other users therefore must maintain an appropriate and professional standard.

The role will include but will not be restricted to;

- Maintaining and monitoring the appointments system.
-Administration of all medical records for service personnel, including preparing paperwork for vetting, circulating patient records as necessary and preparing records for clinics.
-Providing clerical assistance to Medical Centre staff as required, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning.
-Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients and other team members.
-Keeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstruction and clutter and ready to receive patients by agreed opening time.
-Cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
-Taking minutes at multi-disciplinary team meetings


The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator both verbal and written.

You will be required to have proven experience in a similar role.

The rate of pay is £8.36 for the first 12 weeks, rising to £10.35 thereafter. Holiday entitlement and pension scheme available.
