Job Description

Brook Street are recruiting for highly motivated and flexible individuals to join the NHS team in Carlisle. This role is in a busy environment, handling incoming safe guarding calls. You will be managing internal and external queries and liaising with other internal teams. This role requires a calm and focused approach.


This post is temporary for 3 months with a possible view of extension, if candidates show commitment permanent contracts with the NHS may be given but this is not a guarantee.

Salary: £18,003 - £19,337 Enhanced rates for weekends.

Hours: Band 2 Spine Point 2

The call centre operates 24/7, 7 days a week, therefore flexibility is key, you may be expected to work late at night and weekends ranging from different shift patterns.


The purpose of the role is:

" To provide a high-quality customer service and guidance to individuals regarding safeguarding matters as no call is the same "
" Answering a high volume of phone calls from the public "
" Logging data relating to the incoming calls received, ensuring this is done accurately. "


Requirements:

" Experience working with a customer service environment
" You will be able to organise your own workload and use your initiative to effectively switch between a range of activities, so good organisational skills will be essential.
" Excellent telephone manner
" A good level of written and verbal communication skills
" Ability to speak clearly and demonstrate effective listening skills when communicating with patients over the phone
"be able to manage sensitive subjects and keep focus on taking note of the key points of information during the phone call"

Start dates to commence 6th April 2020.
