Administrator - National Probation Service

Location: Doncaster, DN2 6AD

Pay: 11.44 per hour

Job Type: Temporary

Sector: Public Sector

Hours: 37 hours a week (Monday - Friday)

About the Client:

The Probation Service is a statutory criminal justice service that supervises high-risk offenders released into the community.

What Will Be Your Day to Day Tasks?

We're looking for an organised and proactive individual to join our team, providing essential administrative support to help ensure the smooth running of the Probation Service. You'll play a key role in supporting staff and people on probation by maintaining accurate records, managing communications, and assisting with various office processes.

What you'll do:

  • Use IT systems confidently to update databases with accurate information about people on probation and victims.
  • Help manage referrals and coordinate with internal teams, external agencies, and service providers.
  • Prepare and maintain records, files, and management information.
  • Handle communications via phone, email, and in person, providing an effective reception service when needed.
  • Support meetings by organising agendas, taking notes, and following up on action points.
  • Assist with financial tasks like issuing petty cash or travel vouchers.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment, staying calm under pressure.
  • Deal professionally and sensitively with individuals in distress or challenging situations, seeking support when necessary.
