Temp hourly rate - £9.28 per hour rising to £11.20 per hour after 12 weeks
Duration -3 months initially
Role Type: Full Time working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday
Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Direct Commissioning Team (Midlands Region) for the role of Primary Care Support Officer ? East Midlands. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual, with relevant experience, to provide high quality project, service and administrative support including information and analysis to support the management of a portfolio of primary care contracts.
The team is responsible for the management and commissioning of primary care contracts across the four bases in the East Midlands and working with contractors across the 5 STP/ICS areas of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. Operating within the wider East Midlands Pharmacy, Optometry and Dental (POD) team, previous knowledge of primary care. The ideal candidate will need to embrace change, be flexible in approach and have a passion for innovation as we move forward.
The successful applicant will be a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.
Skills and Experience
Essential
Knowledge of administrative procedures, project support or information analysis.
Advanced keyboard skills, intermediate knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft packages and knowledge of project principles.
Skills for communication on complex information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills.
Ability to pull together comprehensive draft reports, data and letters.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
Skills for manipulating information.
Ability to work without supervision. Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own workload to changing and often tight deadlines.
Attention to detail.
Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills: capable of constructing and delivering clear information / instructions to staff and providers.
Commitment to and focused on quality, promotes high standards in all they do.
Able to make a connection between their work and the benefit to patients and the public.

Has an ability to maintain confidentiality and trust and an awareness of information governance requirements and data protection.
