Job Description
Our NPS client requires an administrator to join the busy team on a temporary basis. For the right candidate, this will be providing ongoing support to a Victim Liaison Officer (VLO) within the National Probation Service.
The role is part-time, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 20hrs per week, £11.44/hr.
As the VLO is quite flexible regarding hours and start/end times, this could suit someone potentially returning to work and fitting their hours around the school run.
Our client is currently based in NG2 but is looking to move to NG1 by June.
The role has the potential to be hybrid, 60% in the office, but the training will be conducted on site.
This role will offer a great opportunity to work within the Probation Service and gain experience within the Public Sector.
As you will be involved with the support of the VLO's work, you will need to be able to organise and prioritise their workload, manage their diaries and work commitments, ensuring all targets are met.
Duties may include but not be limited to
* Proof-reading the work of the VLO
* Providing organisational support and ensuring the VLO's tasks are completed on time
* Providing administrative support within the National Probation Service (NPS)
* Liaising with staff and other probation users with professionalism
* Administrative duties, dealing with queries within specified timescales
* Filing
* Distribution of mail and emails
* Data entry
In line with NPS policies and procedures, the job holder must at all times demonstrate a commitment to equality and inclusion and an understanding of their relevance to the work they do.
Ideal candidates will be confident, enjoy interacting with a variety of service users with professionalism. You will have excellent customer service skills and a passion to help people. There will be no contact with offenders.
Our client requires the following skills
* Good strong admin experience
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, outlook and Teams
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability to remain professional at all time and converse with a variety of service users
* Excellent organisational skills
The pay rate is £11.44 per hour and benefits includes holiday pay and pension scheme.
Full training will be given.
The role will require full 3 year referencing and HMPPS vetting. Due to this, the role will not be an immediate start.
