I have a fantastic opportunity for a Administrator based in Thatcham. This role is a temporary assignment for initially 11 months with view to being extended thereafter.
Key Responsibilities, but will not be restricted, include:
The Temporary Worker will provide administrative support. He or she will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgement in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:
Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report
Overseeing administrative procedures and processes
Assisting with budget preparation and control, if required
Acting as a administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources
Preparing routine correspondence
Key Areas of Responsibility
Be the initial point of contact for all vehicle fleet and hire vehicle requests from the customer
To meet customer requests in line with MOD policy.
Prepare all vehicle paperwork and associated forms by the end of the working day for the next day and by midday Friday for the weekend.
Have a good working and practical knowledge of microsoft outlook and excel
Have experience of working with and using databases
Conform with the HASAW act and vocational driver?s hours? legislation.
Be the vehicle wash-down facility custodian, logging all requests to use the facility and that they conform to the HASAW risk assessment.
Support the customer by carrying out a limited amount of driving tasks during periods of high demand.
Be willing to work the occasional weekend to support the business need. Time off in lieu will be given in kind in liaision with Line Manager.
Mandatory training - as per current departmental policy; MOD vehicle fleet management systems training (training will be given and completed when in post)
Cat B Driving Licence holder.
Desirable Training -Experience of working within vehicle environment
Cat C & D1 Driving Licence holder.
Have a good working knowledge of current vocational driver legislation.
Previous experience of working with MOD.
Typical qualifications and experience:
Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent)
NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience)
Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office
Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Salary: £7.98 per hour plus holiday pay
