BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager for an adult`s residential home within Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire looking for candidates that have the values and passion for helping others.

About the role; this role will include you doing around 25 hours out of the 37.5 working week in the office working alongside the Registered Manager and 12.5 hours working directly with the service users. Office work includes; care plans, incident reports, audits and end of month health and safety audits, rotas done at least 3 months in advanced. Working directly with the service users will include hand over, supporting them to get up and dressed, personal care such as washing, get ready for activities, house work and meals/cooking. The residents go to a day centres or do the above activities and recreational activities.

About the ideal candidate; you will have experience within a similar role and at least a Level 3 Health & Social Care NVQ or above. It is essential that you are empathetic and compassionate towards the residents of the home and interested in the role for the right reasons. We need candidates that have the right values and understanding of the needs of the service users you`re working with by building a professional relationship and being a friend as well as their carer. it is essential that you have experience with high complex needs, hoist and wheel chair use, peg feeding and medication. You will have experience of using different communication methods and be able to think outside the box to encourage the team and the service users to overcome tasks. The home is a friendly home, however fast paced and busy, so we are looking for candidates that are looking for that type of environment. You will need to be a driver, holding your licence for at least 2 years.

In return; this is a full time and permanent role working 35.7 hours per week working shifts of E; 7am-2.30pm / L; 2pm-9.30pm with no night shifts, paying £19,927 - £23,983 dependant on experience and qualifications.
