We are looking for an experienced administrator to join a vibrant Government team based in Manchester City Centre on a temporary basis.
You will be contracted to 37 hours per week, no weekend work required. Pay rate starts at £9.28 rising to £10.79.
You will support the Approvals Officer in processing of research applications, issuing standard communications and providing procedural advice to applicants. You will support the tracking of studies to deliver a coordinated service to applicants. You will support the administration of Research Ethics Committee meetings and record discussions and decisions by sub-committees.
Duties will include:
" Prepare meeting papers, including preparation of agenda and provide meeting administration
" Produce decision letters after the meeting
" Escalate queries to the most appropriate member of the team and ensure they are dealt with
" Work flexibly within the team, supporting change and development of process as appropriate, sometimes without finalised procedure documentation as processes are refined.
" Support peers by supporting and accepting swift reallocation of workload where appropriate
" Attend and take minutes at REC meetings (particularly Proportionate Review (PR) and amendment sub-committees) ensuring that the minutes are transcribed in language which is understandable to a lay person and in accordance with Minute Taking Guidance
