Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a friendly and supportive finance team. The finance team support role is within direct commissioning primary care finance team, midlands region. As a member of the team you will be the first point of contact and provide finance support to regional CCG`s and general practices.

Your key duties will include:
- Act as a contact point, dealing with queries from stakeholders, responding to and actioning payment requests and other queries in a timely manner.
- Ensuring records are kept fully up to date and payment deadlines are met,
- Rapidly form effective working relationships within and outside NHSE, mainly CCG`s and GP practices,
- Provide and receive complex information which may contain contentious and sensitive information,
- Create databases and spreadsheets. Input, monitor and check data,
- Run and collate reports,
- Develop and maintain effective electronic filing systems ensuring information is secure and accessible to other team members,
- Continuously build on and improve provision of services, review and suggest/implement changes,
- Assist with the setting up and management of effective business processes to facilitate the smooth running of services and consistent approach across the region,
- Work closely with colleagues and attend regular meetings

The successful candidate will have:
- Good spreadsheet skills,
- Good attention to detail,
- Time Management skills,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Flexible approach to work, in line with the businesses needs,
- Primary care and/or finance experience would be advantageous but full training will be provided

This is a full time role, 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday. This role is a mix of office and home working. You may be required to work in one of the offices. They have the following offices available to work from: Birmingham - Hagley Road, Rugeley, and Worcester.

This role is temporary until March 2022, there is a chance your contract will be extended further than this. The pay rate will start at £10.29 and increase to £11.20 after 12 weeks of working.
