Brook Street is currently working on behalf of our Global IT Client to recruit an experienced Animator.

This is a contract role based in Atherstone for initially 12 months.

As a Brook Street contractor you will be entitled to 25 days holiday per annum, 8 days paid Bank Holidays pro rota, use of the onsite facilities, free parking and an excellent subsidised restaurant.

Salary: Up to £41,000 pa depending on experience.

This role requires an individual who has the experience and the passion to work on a AAA game experience. They must have very strong animation abilities, the ability to work autonomously and not be afraid to drive the vision of animation in the game with their own input.

Key Responsibilities

o Creating bespoke animations to drive animation direction
o Help inform design and production decisions and problem solve animation issues
o Responsible for creating/implementing animation content to an excellent standard
o Quality control of content in their specialism
o Make balanced and rational decisions on the production of assets
o Report Progress and flag Risks and Issues
o Deliver content on schedule and within technical limitations

Candidate requirements:

o High quality animation skills that include experience in bipedal animation, quadruped and facial animation
o Experience with motion capture animation is a bonus
o Good knowledge of Maya
o Some knowledge of working with cut scenes is a bonus
o At least one full project cycle in a content creation role
o Good understanding of art production
o An outstanding portfolio
o Passionate about animation
o Excellent artistic ability
o Being able to meet deadlines and stick to schedules is essential
o Being self-motivated and autonomous
o Must show problem solving skills and be logical
o Excellent communication skills
o Well-organised and proactive
o Able to take and interpret direction and criticism as well as constructively critique the work of others
