My client has a new opportunity for an Application Development Project Manager to manage a small team of specialist software developers in central Bristol.

This position is within a small well established professional business. The privately owned company has been developing and delivering successful IT projects to UK and global organisations for more than thirty years.

This role is suitable for someone that has experience developing windows applications, web applications and windows services and the ability to transform functional requirements into program specifications.

Skills & Experience

Manage a small team of specialist software developers
Ability to communicate with people at all levels (internal & external)
Team leading/ Project management skills
Ability to transform functional requirements into program specifications
C#, .Net skills within an Agile environment
Experience developing windows applications, web applications and windows services,
Basic knowledge of MS SQL, tables, view, stored procedures.
Other programming skills such as JavaScript, VB script, CA Plex, plc ladder code would be beneficial
Standard office IT skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes
Strong organisational skills
Ability to prioritise tasks

What the job entails

Production of program specifications based on operational requirements
Managing the production of high quality software in accordance with the specification and in line with my clients programming standards
Producing software to time and within budget
Writing technical design documents, program specifications and test plans
Providing assistance to the Systems Support team
Contributing ideas and new initiatives for standard system development
Advising the Technical Director on the technical feasibility and methods of new development
Project management / Team Leading

Delivery of high quality software within agreed standards
Customer satisfaction Minimize customers complaints and maximise customer satisfaction

Position: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £ 38,000 and £ 45,000 dependant on experience.
