I am working with a client that is an award-winning accountancy practice. They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their small, friendly team on a full time, permanent basis. They are a growing team, currently with 15 strong and committed employees. The ideal candidate will already be AAT Level 4 qualified and be part-way through your ACCA exams. You`re methodical and practical with an exceptionally high level of attention to detail and a team-oriented attitude. They are offering a salary of between £22,000 and £28,000 depending on experience plus benefits such as annual bonus scheme, bespoke personal development plan and clear career path.

What you will be doing as an Assistant Accountant;
-Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated journals.
-Prepare VAT calculations for different VAT schemes and submit VAT returns and EC sales lists.
-Preparation of Annual Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and small Limited Companies using a variety of systems.
-Preparation of Corporation Tax Returns.
-Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns.
-Supporting upcoming members of the team with VAT and bookkeeping guidance.
-Work with your own portfolio of clients from different industries helping them achieve their success.
-Opportunities to learn new skills as you progress towards becoming a Chartered Certified accountant status, even running your own team.
