Job Description

Our client is looking for an Assistant Accounts Manager join and help lead their local, well-established and friendly Accounts team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a local firm with over 25 years` experience providing a comprehensive range of services to a wide variety of individuals and businesses. In this role, you will work closely with the Accounts Manager to manage and support the already experienced team.

Duties will include:
o Managing month end close
o Preparing monthly reporting pack with analysis and commentary for management
o Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
o Managing the preparation of the statutory accounts by outsourced providers.
o Ensuring timely and accurate completion of VAT, Tax return & other statutory/statistical reporting.
o Preparing information packs for external audit and managing the audit process.

Person Spec:
o AAT Qualified or studying for an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
o Proven accountancy & finance experience.
o Strong Excel skills
o Knowledge of PeopleSoft financials (desirable)
o Strong attention to detail & highly organized.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
