Assistant Buyer

Job Description

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Hours: 9am-5.30pm Monday - Friday
This is an office based position (but with some flexibility to work from home on the odd occasion at the managers discretion)

This extremely well established, progressive and well known brand are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer to join the team. You will be responsible for supporting the strategic and operational management of packaging purchases and other goods and services. Your duties will include some of the following:
Planning, monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels
Raising, placing and tracking purchase orders
Ensuring products are purchased at the right time and at the best possible price
All ad hoc administration associated with this position

You will have a minimum of 2 years buying experience, ideally from the FMCG sector however that is not essential and you will have strong experience using MS Excel.
