Do you have an AAT or equivalent Accountancy Qualification with at least 2 years recent relevant experience? Are you looking for a new challenge with a leading transport company?

If so, this could be the perfect role for you. Working at the company`s head office in the Liverpool city centre, you will be confident supporting the Financial Systems Accountant and assisting with the responsibility for all finance systems and maintenance of Finance Ledgers.

Your day to day responsibilities in this role include:

The supporting of production, coordination and the consolidation of financial reporting requirements for inclusion in the Operating Company board pack.

Supporting cost control and financial objective achievement through the provision of accurate and timely financial information

Preparing accrual and prepayments alongside the providing of reconciliations.

Reviewing the processes to improve effectiveness and ensure continued development

Other ad-hoc, financial tasks as requested by Senior Management.

In order to apply for this role, you MUST have the following experience and skills:

AAT or an equivalent entry Accountancy Qualification.

2 years relevant recent experience.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - index, match and VBA experienced.

A good knowledge of current accounting practices and processes alongside an understanding of the operational environment.

Experienced reporting complex, financial data to non-finance managers.
