Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

Brook Street is currently recruiting for a Temporary Assistant Project Manager for a minimum six month temporary role. The first 3 months will be paid at £15.58 per hour after that you will be paid at a higher rate of £19.89.

The Directorate of Education and Quality (DEQ), is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the Programme Lead and Project Managers responsible for several of our national programmes. The post holder will provide support with project and business management to the teams working across the national programmes for Allied Health Professions (AHP) and Advancing Clinical Practice.

The Assistant Project Manager reports to the National Programme Lead and works closely with AHP/ACP Programme Managers to ensure consistency of processes and systems across the Programmes.
The post holder will:
o Assist with project management for specified projects/workstreams across the programmes
o Co-ordinate the procurement and contracting processes across the programmes
o Manage designated business support functions, including developing and managing the business plans, progress and report risk and issue management through PMO
o Liaise with appropriate functions across national programmes
o Manage designated corporate business returns, including planning and workforce returns
o Develop and implement systems and processes to ensure information (including contracts) are properly managed and best practice is shared across the teams, Directorate and the wider NHS organisation
o Support the management of all relevant programme budgets
o A large part of this role will be procurement and contract management so you will need to be confident in these areas.

The post holder may on occasion be required to travel.
