Associate Local Systems Administration (ALSA)
Location: Fylde
Pay: £11.72ph
Ongoing temporary
We are currently recruiting for an Associate Local Systems Administrator to work with one of our fantastic Public Sector clients in Fylde.
This a temporary position but one in which you would be able to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.
Role purpose
" Support the Local Office LSA with the provision of a high quality, customer-focused IT support to both office-based and remote-working staff.
" Assist the Local Office LSA with Incident, Request and Asset Management, IT Equipment moves and other extraneous duties.
" Provide additional support for ad-hoc tasks and projects.
" Provide cover for the LSA during periods of absence and/or unavailability
Main duties
" Assist the Local Office LSA with Incident and Request Management duties
" Assist with the scanning of physical IT assets and maintenance of asset management database.
" Provide support for the relocation of IT equipment in accordance with local office requirements.
" Dealing with deliveries and enabling the safe handling and storage of IT equipment
" Preparing and packaging of IT equipment for delivery to remote users via existing logistics contracts or Local Office home delivery arrangements.
" Assist with the maintenance of local documentation.
" Liaise with 3rd party suppliers where appropriate.
" Adhere to IT Service Management guidelines.
" Participate in and provide support to local IT projects.
" Develop a high-level awareness of local technical infrastructure and key hardware/software components.
" Develop own knowledge of IT support requirements for a local office.
" Build a knowledge of technical support teams.
Candidate Requirements
" A positive and can-do approach to the possibility of change
" Effective communication skills
" Strong Customer Service Skills
" Good organisational skills
" Approachability and confidence when dealing with staff and managers
" The ability to set-up and configure desktop and portable IT equipment (Full training will be provided)
" The ability to follow written technical instructions for a variety of tasks.
No previous experience or qualifications are required, and a basic understanding of IT is desirable
Standard hours are 37 hours per week Monday - Friday
Pay rate of £11.72 per hour which is paid weekly.
