Audit Manager - £40,000

Are you an ACA or ACCA qualified practice Accountant?

Do you have experience managing a team of people?

My client is looking for a full time Audit Manager to join their team as soon as possible!

Brook Street is pleased to be able to offer the position of an Audit Manager with one of the leading independent accountancy practices in the region, their independent, partner-led practice works with business owners and directors at every stage of their professional lives, from start-up through to development and consolidation and on to succession and withdrawal strategies. Our client is now looking to take on a new Audit Manager to lead their corporate team into success for the future.

Who's right for the job?

The role has a strong audit focus and requires an experienced practice accountant with an emphasis on client service, assignment delivery and the development through coaching of more junior staff. You will need to be ACA or ACCA qualified and have a minimum of 4 years' experience putting these qualifications into practice. Our client is looking for someone with strong coaching and delegation skills and a strong commercial focus. Does this sound like you?

The responsibilities of the role:

Working with Partners and trainees, the Corporate Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of audit clients and large SMEs.
  • Acting as primary contact in day to day client relationships.
  • Supervision of more junior staff and assisting in their development.
  • Peer review and quality control
  • Participate in compliance and regulatory administration.

In return for your hard work, our client offers a competitive salary of circa £40,000 per year, depending on experience. Working hours are standard office hours, but can be discussed at interview. They also offer free close to city parking if you drive.
