Job Description
Brook Street Recruitment have successfully collaborated with a Business Advisors & Accountants based in York. who are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audit Senior to join their dynamic team on a full-time permanent basis either in York or Scarborough. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with a substantial number of business owners across Yorkshire.
A well-established organisation known for providing exceptional audit and assurance services to a diverse clientele. Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Audit Senior to join our growing team.
As an Audit Senior you will be a key member of the audit and assurance team, responsible for planning, executing, and completing audit engagements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supervising audit teams, including junior staff members.
- Developing detailed audit plans and risk assessments.
- Conducting audit fieldwork, including testing controls and substantive procedures.
- Reviewing financial statements, disclosures, and workpapers for accuracy and compliance.
- Identifying and communicating audit issues and recommendations to clients.
- Ensuring timely completion of audit projects within budget.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACCA, ICAS or ACA qualified
- A minimum of 3 of experience in public accounting with a focus on audit and assurance services in practise ideally.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
- Proficiency in audit software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership and team management experience.
