Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with drive and enthusiasm to develop their career and become a key player in our growing Audit Team. We are seeking someone with energy, strong influencing skills and vision, who takes pride in their work. With a background in larger corporates and groups, you will have your own caseload and work directly with partners as well as developing our audit team.
You will be responsible for managing a caseload primarily for Milton Keynes, for general practice partners across the firm. Control and supervision of the team, Marketing and promotion of the firm.
" Audit a large range of corporate clients including groups and overseas subsidiaries
" Reporting directly to partners and liaising with other managers as required
" Planning, supervision and review of audit and accounts cases including preparing notes for partners
" Main point of contact with clients and liaising with clients on the phone, face to face and email on day to day issues.
" Assisting staff with technical accounting and auditing problems
" Developing the audit function in Milton Keynes and synchronising with the other offices
" Supervision and development of staff and providing leadership to the department
" Marketing activities and promoting Mercer & Hole in the MK market
" Assisting in preparation and delivery of pitches to new clients
Qualifications or experience:
" ACA or ACCA
Experience required:
" At least four years post qualification experience as a manager with a top 20 firm. Trained within a chartered practice and used to dealing with organisations with turnovers up to £100 million.
" Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing
" A working knowledge of accounting software
" Able to deal confidently and effectively with clients, staff and partners
" Able to provide on the job training for staff as appropriate
" Able to multi task
" Self-starter who looks for solutions and makes recommendations
" Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
" Proven managerial skills and experience
" Confident in marketing, networking and pitching to potential clients
