Brook Street (UK) Ltd is seeking a Band III Assistant Procurement Officer for our Belfast-based public sector client.

The successful candidate will work with one of the best-known and most-respected organisations in Northern Ireland and, in their role as Assistant Procurement Officer, will contribute to the organisation's overall goals of saving lives and improving the health and well-being of everyone in Northern Ireland.

The Assistant Procurement Officer will primarily be concerned with assisting the Procurement Officer in providing a value-for-money procurement service to internal departments in line with regulations and ISO 9001 procedures. Duties will include purchasing goods, resolving invoice queries, operating a PC and computer system to facilitate the delivery of a procurement service, and responding to queries from suppliers.

This role is based in Belfast but the successful candidate will be able to work from home once they're fully-trained in the systems and processes of the role. The days of work are Monday to Friday, the Assistant Procurement Officer will work 37.5 hours per week, and the rate of pay is £10.09 per hour.

Candidates must have either five GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above OR a relevant NVQ Level II or GNVQ qualification as well as one year's relevant experience in a general commercial / business environment OR two years' relevant work-based experience.
