BOARD SECRETARY ASSISTANT
Brook Street are recruiting a Board Secretary Assistant on a full-time temporary basis based in Inverness. This role will involve line management of individual team members, including objective setting and appraisal as well as supporting a Board, Committees and other Non-Executive Directors.

JOB PURPOSE
"As the Board Secretary Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and specialised administrative and secretarial function is provided to the Board and its Committees.
"To ensure that meetings of the Board and any Committees are properly recorded and that Executive Directors and Non Executive Directors receive appropriate support and guidance.
"Organise and support, training and development days, ensuring all timelines are adhered too.
"Aid Non-Executive Directors of the Board to assist them in carrying out the Board`s duties, including arranging relevant training and development.
"The postholder will be required to comply with relevant NHS standards and must maintain and make available for public inspection the Register of Interests.
"Responsible for the issue of NHS circulars issued by Scottish Government to Executives, Senior Managers and Operational Units identifying officers responsible and actions required.

"Comprehensive experience in committee administration and high level of organisational skills.
"Previous line management responsibilities.
"The postholder requires proven formal minute taking experience at a senior level in a complex and diverse organisation.
"Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with staff at all levels.
"Ability to identify issues and rapidly summarise complex, in-depth specialised discussion.
"The applicant will be required to work independently and must display the confidence and maturity to make decisions without the presence of the Line Manager
"Meticulous in their work, able to prioritise and as is the ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate the utmost confidentiality.
"An ability to work to strict deadlines, meeting actions ontime and often under pressure.
"Experience of the NHS or other public sector body.
