Job Description
We are working with a Health Care provider who have various Booking co-Ordinator roles available.
Senior Booking Co-Ordinator FTC 12months Maternity Leave cover.
Full - Time 37.5 hrs Per Week Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm No weekends/bank holidays Based at Eastgate Hybrid working once training is completed.
To provide a comprehensive booking service for patients referred into the community paediatric child health service.
Appointments Co-ordinator to work as part of a central team, provide the administrative and secretarial functions for a Centralised Community Children's Service. Organise the onward referral of patients, co-ordinate internal waiting lists, book clinics. Communicate with NHS colleagues, patients and the general public.
To provide booking support and day to day supervision of the Booking Co-ordinator within the CCHP Centralised Booking Team, exercising initiative, independent judgement and decision making arising from situations within this role. The post-holder will be required to liaise with paediatricians, secretaries, NHS colleagues, parents/carers of patients and the general public.g
To work jointly with the Support Operational Service Lead to ensure timely management of clinic bookings, document output and internal target policies underpinned by clinical pathways. The role will include organising the onward referral of patients, co-ordinating internal waiting lists and booking clinics for Community Paediatrics across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset
Senior Booking CO-Ordinator Temp -Perm
F/T 37.5hrs per week Mon-Fri no weekends or Bank holidays. Based at Eastgate Hybrid once training is completed. To provide a comprehensive booking service for patients referred into the community paediatric child health service.
The role is based at Eastgate House with various shift patterns. Some travel to Drove Road - Weston Super mare required at certain intervals. Home working to be including in the working week once fully trained.
Core hours are between 8am and 5pm across 5 days out of 7 days per week. Currently the service is required to work Monday to Friday No weekends/Bank Holidays.

Be able to prioritise tasks from a number of people

Able to use Microsoft Office systems with good keyboard skills

An understanding of patient administration and other related systemsg

Experience of working with a team to achieve targets and deadlinesPrevious experience of patient booking and waiting list management processes and systems to identify and prioritise patients, interpret information and take appropriate actioExperience of working in an NHS organisation or similar
Experience of prioritising work in a busy, multi-professional team environment
Experience of communicating with patients/clients where there may be barriers of acceptance or understanding
Experience of working autonomously whilst adhering to fixed protocols
Clear understanding and ability to manage a number of
Support the Senior Appointments Coordinators and clinical staff in the processing of referrals and clerical triage
Book initial clinical assessments and follow-up treatment clinics for patients ensure all clinics are filled 5 weeks in advance
Monitor the waiting lists for the service in accordance with waiting time targets and the Patient Access under the management of the Operational Support Manager
Amend and build clinics on EMIS/Care plus on an ad hoc basis
Liaise with a large number of families daily in order to book appointments, answer routine/urgent queries and concerns and negotiate or change appointment times
Liaise with community paediatricians, secretaries, GPs, health visitors, school health, interpreters and other relevant departments to ensure service needs are met
