I am currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join a well-known Accountancy Practice based in their head office in Bramhall on a permanent basis.

To succeed in this, you will need to:

Be committed to working towards a career in accountancy
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
Ideally be looking to start or have started an accountancy qualification like AAT or ACCA
Have a very strong bias towards customer service
Be very confident, highly self-motivated and comfortable with challenging others and being challenged
Be gregarious, engaging and keen to learn
Be able to work very well (and enjoy working) under pressure
Be ambitious and keen to embrace new challenges

Daily tasks will include:

Engaging with multiple systems such as Xero and Sage
Register the company for all relevant taxes
Liaise with HMRC to update client records
Review information required from clients each quarter
Bookkeeping
Prepare VAT returns
Sales and Purchase ledger
