Brook Street (UK) Limited is working on behalf of our Accountancy client who is located close to Belfast city centre to recruit an experienced bookkeeper.

The candidate hired for this role should have an IATI qualification and have previous experience working in an accountancy practice.

Responsibilities / Duties

* Bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of small businesses using software
* Preparation of VAT returns
* Liaising with clients and building effective working relationships
* Assisting clients with cloud software
* Managing workload to ensure deadlines are met whilst maintaining an accurate standard of work

Essential requirements

* Experience in a similar role, ideally within another accountancy firm
* Able to work in a pressurised environment
* Strong communication skills and able to build relationships with clients and colleagues
* Strong attention to detail, planning and organisational skills
* Qualified or part-qualified Accounting Technician or similar qualification
