Do you have Bookkeeping experience - within a practice OR within bookkeeping company? Are you looking to work with an expanding accountancy practice in the North Liverpool?

If so, this could be the perfect role for you. Based at the client's head office, you will be expected to head up the bookkeeping and VAT return functions within their team.

Benefits for this role include:

A competitive basic salary of £22,000-£25,000 (this would be based on candidates' level of experience)

Working hours of 9am-5pm Mon-Fri with no weekends required.

Free on-site car parking facilities and although public transport is accessible and local, it is preferred for the right candidate to drive.

Day to day duties in this role include:

Working with around 70-80 clients that require a wide range of assistance with their bookkeeping and VAT returns within a monthly and quarterly basis.

Liaising with clients on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to complete bookkeeping.

Completing and submitting VAT returns.

Overseeing the whole bookkeeping department and liaising with other departments i.e. account managers.

Providing bookkeeping and VAT training when clients require it.

To apply for this role, you MUST have the following skills and experience:

At least two years' experience as a Bookkeeper in a practice environment or within a bookkeeping company - this would need to be recent experience.

Experience of using the following platforms - SAGE 50 / Sage Accounting (online version), Xero or QuickBooks.

Have a working knowledge of 'Receipt Bank'.

Confident communicating with clients - both over the phone /e-mail contact alongside travelling to meet clients face to face at their premises (as and when necessary - this would be with local clients in the Liverpool area).
