Job Description
Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.
Our justice system defends our fundamental rights and freedoms. It is a cornerstone of our modern society and it must serve all those who call on it, when they call on it. From some of the most vulnerable people in our society, to families in crisis, claimants and commercial businesses - HMCTS has a responsibility to administer a justice system that is accessible to everyone and operates efficiently.
We are currently recruiting for an Admin Officer to work with one of our fantastic Public Sector clients in Leicester city centre
This a 1 month temporary position initially, with good chance of extension but one in which you would be able to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.
If you have worked within the public sector before this would be advantageous but not essential. If you have transferable experience, then we would love to hear from you.
Building Champion role:
Candidates would be required to;
- Promote themselves as a single point of contact for HMCTS operational colleagues and Judiciary on matters relating to their building.
- Monitor the effect of building problems on operational activity and provide insight into local operational priorities and issues to support Facilities Management (FM) decision making.
- Keep colleagues and judiciary informed of relevant building-related activities and issues.
- Attend regular meetings with FM colleagues and external FM service partners to inform performance evaluation.
- Work with FM colleagues to minimise the impact to operations whilst works are in progress and keep staff and court users informed.
- Engage with the local Facilities Manager and the FM helpdesk to support the delivery of required estate works.
- Make people aware of your role as Building Champion and let them know what you are doing and what's planned for your building.
They may also be asked to do admin duties such as data logging, answering calls/queries.
Standard hours are 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday (Between 8.30am - 5.00pm)
Pay rate of £12.36 per hour for the first 12 weeks, then increasing to £12.53 per hour, which is paid weekly.
1 month temporary position (due to be extended).
You will be required to attend Nottingham for your initial training.
