Job Description

We have an opportunity for 2 business administrators with our client NHS Digital. These are long-term temporary roles to start asap

If you have a strong admin background and are confident with all Microsoft Packages then this may be the role for you

  • Location: Working from home but then a hybrid model will be introduced where you will work some days in the office and some days at home - the office will be based in Leeds City Centre - LS1
  • Hours: Monday- Friday 37.5 hours a week - flexible hours between 8-6
  • Assignment length: 6 Months (may be extended subject to business requirements)
  • Salary: £12.74 per hour (Annually £24,843)

NHS Digital are the national information and technology partner to the health and social care system using digital technology to transform the NHS and social care.

About this role

The Support Administrator will be responsible for providing and co-ordinating administration activities within the Platforms Directorate.

This role will support and assist with the Business Management function, main duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Co-ordinating activities from a team mailbox
  • Supporting invoicing and purchase order requisitions
  • Providing general admin support and diary management
  • Managing compliance within the Directorate
  • Producing ad hoc reports
  • Maintaining staff lists/structure charts
  • Supporting recruitment activities

Desired Skills and experience:

  • Communication and Relationships - Experience of effective internal and external stakeholder management, building and maintaining relationships through excellent communication. Able to work with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and needs, providing effective consultancy, direction and advice to ensure the delivery of timely and accurate information.

  • Responsibility for Information Management - Proven ability of gathering, recording and analysing information from a variety of sources, using such information to prepare and maintain a range of business documents and databases.

  • Analysis and Judgement - Analyse a broad range of complex customer requirements breaking them down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships between these parts. Selecting the appropriate method/tool to resolve the problem and reflecting on the result and ensuring that requests that cannot be met are escalated appropriately.

  • Planning and Organisation - Proven ability to understand delivery milestones, effectively planning and managing their own and team members duties to ensure effective business and operational delivery.

  • Policy and Service Improvement and Development - Support in implementing appropriate service and process management practices

  • Freedom to Act - Although supervision is available there is an expectation that you will be able to work unsupervised and make decisions without supervision
