Business Administrator / Team Organiser

Job Description

Our Public Sector client is currently looking for a Business Administrator to support their Safety Team. This will be Monday to Friday, usually 9am to 5.30pm however the successful candidate must have a degree of flexibility in line with the needs of the business. This will be on an initial three-month temporary assignment basis with the possibility of further extension, paying £14.06 per hour.

The ideal candidate must be able to provide supportive administration to the team and also six heads of department. This will involve booking travel, accommodation, meeting rooms and will require the ability to manage diaries for those you support. You will also be required to raise purchase orders and knowledge of Oracle would be beneficial. Part of your role would also involve creating presentation packs for meetings, chasing relevant parties to meet deadlines and other ad hoc but related tasks.

This role will be based in Birmingham one day a week, Crewe one day a week and then three days working from home, with both a laptop and a work phone provided. Please note that the client is currently looking to open the offices up more as lock down restrictions ease, so you would be expected to increase the days per week in the Birmingham office. Birmingham would be considered your work location, however travel (ie train tickets) to Crewe would be paid for.

You would need to have knowledge of MS applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and be able to use database systems as necessary. You would also need to have had at least two years of solid administration experience.
