Business Analyst, Home Office
Unit overview
The Joint International Crime Centre (JICC) will consolidate and enhance the UK`s capabilities around international law enforcement cooperation and coordination. It will provide the UK the opportunity to undertake a greater role in responding to the growing threat from transnational criminality. The JICC will have a UK-wide remit and will drive, coordinate, and support the response of UK policing and law enforcement to international crime
The National Crime Agency (NCA), National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) and International Crime Coordination Centre (ICCC), with Home Office support, are working together to create the JICC, which will be hosted by the NCA. It will be formed by initially combining the current capability housed in the ICCC and the NCA`s International Crime Bureau (UKICB).
The JICC is a multi-agency approach to meeting the increasing international demands of territorial policing, integrated with the NCA`s international capabilities. It is a whole system approach to tackling international crime
Role Overview
This is a Home Office post, but the successful applicant will be task-managed by the NCA project lead and will work closely with NCA, Home Office and policing colleagues.
The successful candidate will be providing technical experience and knowledge to a range of areas within the project as well as practical support across the project. Business analyst support is needed in particular to assist the mapping of service processes in the new unit. This will include complex services such as extradition. This work will support the development of the operating model.

" Experience working on complex projects to produce and support the production of operating models.
" Experience in service design.
" Experience working on change management.
" Experience with communicating changes as part of a change management projects.
" Understanding of project management structures and methods.

" Support the updating of the service catalogue, which outlines the services that the new operating model will deliver.
" Support process mapping for the services within the service catalogue.
" Understand the current internal management structures of the organization to ensure the operating model will be supported by them
o Clearly communicate these structures to seniors to support decision making
" Support the creation of the operating model through a collaborative approach with operational and policy leads
" Support subject matter experts to understand how the JICC would work with their area

" Security clearance - candidates are required to achieve minimum security vetting of SC clearance prior to commencement in post.
" Working pattern flexibility - working patterns must support business requirements.
" This is a short-term assignment until October 2022
" This post is full time, 37 hours per week, based in Marsham Street, Westminster, London
" Pay rate is £14.84 per hour
