Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available to work for a Government Body in Southport. The role is a full-time temporary position working 37 hours a week for £11.20/h.

Job Description:

The primary role of a PDS National Back Office (NBO) Demographic Administrator (DA) is to:

Investigate and resolve data quality incidents on the PDS.

Manage NHS numbers and medical records.

Respond to tracing requests from NHS and non-NHS organisations.

The team uses a work-flow management framework with each incident or service request being raised via a work item.

The team manages demographic records and facilitates the movement of paper medical records in cases where patient identities require protection.

Accuracy is of paramount importance to ensure each NHS patient has a single unique NHS number, and to enable patients to be readily identified by healthcare professionals and associated quickly and accurately with their correct demographic details and clinical

Skills/Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate with a wide range of NHS and non-NHS customers on a day to day basis. All business processes require email and/or telephone communication.

Knowledge of Information Governance policies and procedures in order to appropriately communicate personal confidential data and sensitive information on a daily basis.

Significant level of analysis and judgement skills required to process data quality incidents, service requests and tracing requests.

Strong customer service skills to fully meet customers? needs and to ensure a consistent high standard service is provided to all customers.

Planning and organisation skills to manage own workload in line with agreed service levels.

Ability to identify service improvements and anomalies/errors or out of date information in guidance notes, process maps and stock draft letters used by the business on a daily basis.

Significant experience in the use of Microsoft Office software.
