Job Description

I am recruiting for an experienced Business Development Executive for my client based close to Kingswinford, they are offering basic salary of £25,000 + commission (realistic OTE £30-35k).

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the growth of new business alongside managing existing clients, this will be done by making over 100 calls a day (some cold calling will be required) and meeting with prospective clients. Your time will mainly be spent in the office but with the use of a 'company pool car' you will also be attending regular face to face meetings with new and potential clients to retain, grow and introduce new business.

THE COMPANY

You will be working for a leading international company who provide supplies to the retail industry and other technical and professional services.

TYPICAL DAILY JOB DUTIES - WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

- New business generation through cold calling prospective clients and use of social media

- Meeting and exceeding set sales targets

- Up-selling and cross-selling the range of our products

- Actively building and developing relationships

- Maintaining internal database with sales and call information.

- Minimum 100 calls per day

PERSON SPECIFICATION

- Full clean driving licence

- 2 years minimum previous sales/telesales experience

- Ideally experience selling into the retail market e.g. Garden Centres / Hardware Stores / DIY stores / Builders Merchants or similar

- Proven record of exceeding sales targets

- Ability to converse with confidence to all decision makers

- Ability to work well under pressure

- Proactive and positive approach, demonstrating drive and commitment to deliver sales targets

- Able to build strong and long-lasting relationships

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

PACKAGE AND BENEFITS

- £25,000 basic salary plus commissions (Realistic OTE £30-35k)

- Monday to Friday 08.30-17.15 working hours

- 20 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing to 23 days after 3 years' service and 25 days after 6 years' service - Free parking
