Job Description

Brook Street Edinburgh is working alongside a successful, fast-paced multi-site manufacturing business who is working towards an ambitious growth strategy over the next few years. Our client's business is expanding rapidly and have we are proud to be working on this fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to cover Scotland.

Our client is looking for their ideal candidate to have market knowledge of laser cutting process and principles, steel sector material knowledge, Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, general fabrication and welding and knowledge of CE marking and ISO standards.

The purpose of the role is to deliver profitable business from new and existing customers in line with business objectives.
What you'll be doing

You will be working as a Business Development Manager within an already successful sales team.
Key areas of responsibility:

Be responsible for full profit and loss for your sales region.
Managing your own geographical region, as the primary point of contact for new and existing customers.
Managing and developing key accounts supported by internal sales estimators.
New business development through self-lead generation.
Regeneration of lapsed accounts in line with business objectives.
Chasing accounts receivable with clients.
Sustaining incremental growth in existing markets as well as delivering innovative strategies to develop new areas.
Planning your own diary, ensuring we visit current customers and new prospects
Field based 4 days per week and home based 1
Following up all enquiries with visit reports in the company CRM software.

Essential for the role:

Drivers licence essential.
Good IT skills
Strong customer service experience.
Strong literacy & numeracy skills.
Previous field based sales experience.
Experience of working under pressure.
Good attention to detail.
CAD knowledge (advantageous)
