Job Description

Our client based in the educational, training sector are recruiting for a new and exciting position as a Business Development Manager across 2 of our locations; Manchester and Newcastle. Working alongside the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and implementing new business opportunities which will impact you and your team`s contribution to performance, KPI`s, increased lead generation and overall sales and growth of the business.

You will be self-motivated, with exceptional relationship management experience and a "can-do" attitude in order to generate leads, particularly within the corporate and funded markets. It is therefore essential that you have experience in managing both B2C and B2B relationships.

You will be based in Manchester and travel to the Newcastle centre will be required as part of the role.

Main Responsibilities
" Plan, develop and oversee the overall business development strategy, determining key KPIs surrounding this
" Successfully generate a consistent increase of leads/enquiries coming into the business, leading to incremental sales performance
" Secure regular meetings with key prospects in both territories
" Identify and nurture new business opportunities for corporate and funded clients
" Engage externally with relevant sectors, industries and businesses with a view to understand their training needs
" Build strong and sustainable relationships with clients, actively listening to their needs and developing solutions for them based on our portfolio of diplomas and courses
" Manage, maintain and develop a pipeline of opportunities using expert sales and negotiation skills through to enrolment
" Manage, coach and develop a small team of Sales Consultants to achieve personal targets
" Work with the current sales and marketing teams on new initiatives
" Work towards meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets
" Network locally and virtually to expand brand presence
Key Characteristics
" Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
" Experience in building sustainable relationships with external groups, clients and companies and the ability to up-sell opportunities
" Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
" Tenacious desire to meet and exceed targets
" Experience in engaging with decision makers around features and benefits of a product or service
" Confident in performing face-to-face and virtual consultations
" Pro-active in sourcing and developing local opportunities
" Strong grasp of written and spoken Business English
" Can-do attitude with an ability to take ownership over tasks, and a willingness to go above & beyond to deliver results

37.5 hours per week, based on a shift pattern in-centre
£28,000 plus Bonus - OTE £33,000, 25days Annual leave
