Job Description

Business Development Manager
Location - Remote

Brook Street is currently working on behalf of our Global IT Client to recruit a Business Development Specialist.
This is a contract role based in Reading or London, initial contract to 30th June 2020

As a Brook Street contractor you will be entitled to 25 days holiday per annum, 8 days paid Bank Holidays pro rota, discounted gym membership, use of the onsite health facility and access to online learning and training.

Salary: Up to £43,350 depending on experience plus 5% end of contract bonus depending on experience


Business Development Specialist Responsibilities:

Enablement:

  1. Continually enable and ready partner representatives to maintain high level of competency with the Value Proposition as well as promotions and incentives in market. Be visible with partner sellers to be front of mind and increase mindshare.
  2. Ensure target partners have access to, and are using, our clients marketing assets to promote the our clients story within the target accounts
  3. Acts as the primary Subject Matter Expert (Pre-Sales & Programmes) contact within nominated Partners

Sales Execution:

  1. Using data and insights, work with each partner to identify and agree a list of customer accounts that will be targeted with the catalogue sales motion campaign
  2. Establish relationships with the relevant account managers within each target partner account (relevant Business Decision Makers & Influencers) providing connections to the appropriate Customer Teams
  3. Creation and delivery of concise and measurable Partner Business and Solution Plans
  4. Regular forecasting sales performance
  5. Pre-Sales / Post-Sales Escalation Management: Field both pre-sales & post-sales questions & escalations
  6. Drive sales floor activity & training across distribution sales floors and to named accounts

Opportunity Management:

  1. Track target accounts with each partner and maintain a pipeline of deal registration opportunities with status updates within the Sales tools
  2. Work with partner and World Wide Licensing & Program Business Desk to get pricing approval for named customer opportunities
  3. Monthly reporting of status, blockers and successes


Business Development Specialist Requirements:

  • 2 - 5 years' experience within Sales Excellence, Business Planning, Sales operations and/or Finance
  • Executive exposure & cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with partners, customers and internal stakeholders
  • Focuses on providing process optimisation by understanding the desired business outcome
  • Adept at planning and managing to deadlines - Project & change management
