Job Description

Purpose of the job

To take responsibility for the management of financial data within the business - Calculating rebate invoices, producing reports and providing insights that contribute to the business's decision-making process and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

Supplier data management

* Proactively liaising with suppliers to ensure that monthly financial reports are received on-time and in the correct format, taking appropriate action when reports are consistently late or incorrect

Analysing and uploading supplier trade data

* Checking and reformatting supplier trade data before uploading it to the company database

* Working with suppliers to ensure that their reports are accurate and complete, providing feedback and technical advice to ensure high levels of data integrity

* Investigating upload issues and resolving them in a timely manner, escalating when required

Internal performance reporting

* Producing ad-hoc reports for the wider business on request, analysing data and presenting insights in a clear and concise format to facilitate decision-making within the business

* When appropriate, working with the IT department to automate processes and improve reporting accuracy/efficiency

Calculating and issuing rebate invoices

* Understanding specific supplier rebate agreements and how they should be applied to purchase data

* Providing suppliers, in a clear and concise format, reports detailing the rebates payable to to the company.

* Calculating and issuing supplier rebate invoices

* Acting as the main point of contact for rebate invoice queries, responding to and resolving issues in an efficient and transparent manner

The ideal candidate will have the below skills and experience.

Finance, Business, Accounting, IT or Data Analysis-related experience and/or qualifications
Microsoft Excel - able to perform;
VLOOKUPs, IF formulas and nested formulas
Pivot tables
Conditional formatting
Graphs & charts using live pivot data
Basic math formulas
Experience working with Microsoft office suite
Excellent numeracy and close attention to detail
Experience working with large/complex data sets and performing high-level analysis
Communicating with a range of stakeholders
Presenting data in a clear and concise way
Self-motivated and with a desire to achieve precision, accuracy and efficiency
Adaptable and willing to learn new bespoke software
