Job Description

Are you an experienced administrator with excellent planning and organisational skills? Are you looking for a new and exciting role? Then I have the perfect role for you!

Based in Swindon, my Client is looking for a temporary Business Manager to join their team for an initial until March 2020, paying the rate of £ 10.16/hour, increasing to £14.71 after 12 weeks. This role is within a government organisation and to be considered for this role you need to complete our compliance procedure as well as a security check.

As Business Manager, the role will require you to support the Director to deliver effective business service provisions that will enable them to meet their corporate and operational objectives. Although the role holder will work largely autonomously, they will work cohesively with other business managers across the Agency, advising, supporting and undertaking project duties commensurate with their role. Through close liaison with Finance, Operations and the HR Business Partner, the role holder will work with budget managers to ensure the smooth operation and monitoring of financial systems and processes. In terms of business development, role holders will also ensure that contractual and other formal agreements are in place with delivery partners.

The role of a Business Manager is varied and includes proactively managing the day to day operations of their Directorate and working with other Business Managers to support Executive and Senior Directors.
The key responsibilities include:
- Delivering accurate and timely management information
- Managing the effective flow of work within and between directorates
- Supporting decision making and advising on business related matters
- Driving delivery and maintaining continuity of work operations

For this role, successful candidate must have working knowledge of Finance, Human Resources, Management Information and Project Management and a proven ability to accurately handle large amounts of data with high attention to detail and to demonstrate a good standard of analysis is essential. You will also need experience of dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders at different seniority levels.
