Job Description
NHS - Band 4 Business Support
Location: Leeds
Hours: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours)
Pay: £11.20ph
This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements.
This post is responsible for working in a department-level business support team and assisting in budgetary and resource management, business planning activities and wider operational duties.
The post-holder will handle multiple sources of information and produce a range of information, following up with relevant managers as required to ensure deadlines are met.
The post is responsible for ensuring new work requests are assessed, reports and information packs are produced, and relevant quality standards are adhered to, as well as ensuring accurate maintenance of central tools and repositories.
The post will operate with a significant degree of autonomy and will be able to prioritise their own work in order to meet organisational business objectives and key performance indicators.
Essential
Working Knowledge of the importance of information governance, i.e. maintaining the confidentiality of information, storing information in the right place and making sure information is recorded clearly and accurately
Working knowledge of Data Protection Legislation
Awareness of the terminology used within the health and social care system.
Working knowledge of MS SharePoint.
Understanding of the concepts of risk and issue management.
Working knowledge of various project management practices and methodologies e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, SCRUM or equivalent experience.
Desirable
Knowledge of software applications and databases used for managing documents, with knowledge of records management techniques.
Experience of using Customer Relationship Management tools.
Basic knowledge of terminology and principles associated with large scale information systems.
Knowledge of the terminology used within the health and social care system.
